Benefits
If you get disability benefits and are working or looking for work, we have good news for you. Social Security’s work incentives and Ticket to Work programs can help. Special rules make it possible for people receiving Social Security disability benefits or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments to work and still receive monthly payments. And, if you can’t continue working because of your medical condition, your benefits can start again — and you may not have to file a new application. Also, there is a program in Indiana to keep you connected to Medicaid to ensure you can continue those services which may only be paid for by Medicaid. MED Works is for working individuals with disabilities that helps.

InvestABLE Indiana
To all of your abilities, now add the ability to save. The Achieving a Better Life Experience Act (ABLE) of 2014 allows individuals with disabilities and their families to save for many daily, disability-related expenses on a tax-deferred basis – without limiting their ability to benefit from supplemental security income (SSI), Medicaid, and other federal programs.
ABLE savings may grow and be withdrawn tax-free, provided that savings are used for qualified, disability-related expenses.
